Why hasn't this ever occurred to me before? Has anyone else noticed this fallacy? Did Veggie Tales or it's creators ever address this masquerade?

Veggie Tales?
Randomly today, the Veggie Tale theme song popped into my head. Just walking along blissfully, and suddenly, "If you like to talk to tomatoes..." Then it occurred to me that Bob is a tomato. Bob the Tomato, co-star of Veggie Tales is a FRUIT! Now all these questions have disquieted my day!

Made me curious...botanically a tomato is a fruit, but is classified vegetable according to the culinary definition.
