Map Adventures

Cj has become quite interested in maps lately. He can find New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, Vermont, Madagasscar, Australia (or as he calls it, The Outback). At one point he was excited to find the compass rose on his maps, because he thought this meant it was a pirate map. We explained that it was a compass rose, but he argued, "But it's always on treasure maps in the movies." then he said, "dere's treasure in dem der' islands!" We explained that the compass rose is on every map and explains which is North, East, West, & South. It's so funny because he calls it the "bancus flower" now. It's fun to see his interest! He's even asked for maps for his birthday this year.
